Jensen Stanton (he/him) has been a member of the MPO first violin section since March 2022. In 2021, Jensen was selected as a soloist for the University of St. Thomas Festival Orchestra, performing the second movement of the Bruch Violin Concerto. Additionally, Jensen has served as Principal Viola of the Minnesota Saints Orchestra and section first violin with the Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed for various concerts with the Chapel Arts Series in St. Paul. Jensen enjoys playing in string quartets and chamber settings, as well as for various church gigs and special events around the Twin Cities.
Jensen studied statistics, political science, and math at the University of St. Thomas (MN) and currently works as a data analyst in the retail and restaurant industry. He studied violin with Allison Ostrander and Daniel Orson. In his free time, he enjoys baking, cooking, recreational sports, and spending time with his dog, Juniper.
