Sacred and Profane explores the spaces where the joyful, the contemplative, and the transcendent meet.
From the exuberant rhythms of Darius Milhaud’s Le Bœuf sur le toit to our highly anticipated world premiere by Minnesota composer Shruthi Rajasekar, this program invites audiences to experience music that moves effortlessly between the sacred and the profane. The evening concludes with Francis Poulenc’s Gloria, a work of profound beauty and playful spirit, performed in collaboration with Kantorei, one of the Twin Cities’ premier choral ensembles.
Join the MPO for a season finale that celebrates the full spectrum of human expression and collaboration.
