The power of music is impossible to quantify. It can instantaneously change our emotions, magically conjure mental images, reawaken long-forgotten memories, and even create a close community out of perfect strangers. This concert is designed to pay homage to music itself with selections that will demonstrate the versatility of this magnificent art form as well as pieces specifically written to honor it. The MPO is thrilled to welcome back pianist Mark Mazullo, who, in his last appearance with us, performed Beethoven’s third piano concerto. Together we will attempt to take on the profoundly moving fourth.
